| Hello! I need help with #59 - Watch an anime recommended to you in the challenge discussion thread I'm kind of a newbie to watching anime, but I really enjoy: psychological, horror, comedy, slice of life, and really good anime movies. I'd like to stick to something that is 23 episodes or less considering I cannot dedicate as much time as I would like, but I'd be willing to consider something that is just out of this world. Also, it cannot be on my current list of anime to watch for the challenge (you can click on the participant button in my signature). |

I mean, I'm aware that some things can be worded differently for everyone to understand them better but if they aren't pointed out we won't be able to make corrections later. Apart from #42? totally not cause i was confused at some of this as well keeping in mind some people are new to anime and probably dont know what stand alone means, an example for no 1 would really help alot instead of answering the same question everytime, should at least state the on/drop clause of watch something, drop for 3 months, then continue since some people like me at least have troubles with hair colour, one example would really help, 62 legit needs an example, like this just me being salty, but it took me 1 hr just to find 1 series that is fully subbed and doesnt have a single review... other minor thing that need fixing/examples: 40 has the immortal loli age loophole, not sure if thats intended no idea why the example for 36 is under 37... |

Yeah I found it pretty counter-intuitive that completely anthropomorphic characters with just one random gimmick (like ears or a tail) count as 'not looking like human'. Being strongly anthropomorphic in their designs means pretty much the opposite, that they basically look like humans just with some small variation. 'A character that does not look human' sounds to me like a character not having 99% semblance either. 'To look like' something is kinda about similarity, not about being 100% the same so the phrasing would imply that characters who actually look 99% like humans do not count, but in fact they do. So even setting aside that I would personally find it a lot more fun if only characters with designs that are very different from your average human designs would count instead of anything with the pinky finger of an animal, I think a rewording would be helpful to make this challenge clearer. |

Erin isn't really episodic tho? You can't have gotten far into it if you don't think there's a continuous storyline. I don't remember the exact episode but I can promise a lot of stuff is going to happen. But if you insist on something more action-packed and exciting from the start then there's Full Metal Alchemist or other, more typical battle shounen like Strongest Disciple Kenichi which is also pretty exciting if you like martial arts. There's also a couple of great sports anime at 50+ episodes. Hajime no Ippo, Diamond no Ace, Slam Dunk for example. If you want a psychological thriller I can definitely recommend Monster. Mujin Wakusei Survive is a kind of all ages survival story with sci-fi elements and it was a pretty solid watch too. If you want to take a shortcut for the challenge and watch something with short episodes there's Hetalia and Saiki Kusou which are both pretty hilarious comedies. |

| For the challenges that do not specify the number of episodes or the type of anime (TV, OVA, ONA, movie) or the duration of each episode, is it alright to choose whatever we want. For example I am having trouble choosing lowest rated animes by my favourite studio. Since the animes mostly have only one episode. If there is no restiction to the number of episodes, type and duration, is it alright to watch a short anime (I am planning on "The Disastrous Life of Saiki K." with 120 episodes) for the 50+ episode anime challenge. |
