Why do people think Goku beats everyone?

I know a lot are jokes but I also know that there a lot of people who truly believe that he's just the strongest in fiction, when that's just not close to true, especially when people like Giorno (GER), Xeno, and Anti-spiral exist. I just think it's so weird that people don't acknowledge these characters, especially ones that are as popular as Giorno, is it ignorance, maybe but I would like some other opinions on this topic.

Bernkastel, Featherine, Rimuru, hell -- I'm pretty sure even a form of Sonic powerful enough to resist being erased...there's an overwhelming number of characters that could easily beat goku lol

Because he's one of the most mainstream popular anime characters of all time, so it just comes with the territory I guess. Personally I think there's way better male protagonist out there.

Because for many people, Goku is basically a poster child of anime superheroes, just like how Superman is a poster child of superheroes.

But like really it's that DBZ was/is super popular as a battle anime and people don't understand power scaling especially when it's in anime as most series don't even know what power scaling is in universe

Goku solos because he's overwhelmingly strong, as shrimple as that. Also, who are those jobbers mentioned in the original post and why are they even getting compared to Son Gokuu, the Super Saiyan, the world's savior, huh?

Younger anime fans will most likely not get it as much as older fans, but hey, every generation has its heroes. Even if they are not that iconic and powerful as Goku, they can still be strong, influential, respected and popular.

First foul move putting characters from Anime only in a manga discussion.

Second, I have no idea which Xeno we are talking about. But Goku is battle addict that comes from a Gag manga where most characters are named after colors, clothing, appliances or vegetables, so his powers are hard to scale accurately against other series. But everyone knows that given enough time to prepare, Goku and Batman can beat anyone, even if Goku fighting record in its own series is not that good, and Batman is just what mankind can achieve with infinite money cheat on.

Now the true strongest character other characters should be aware of is the Shueisha Chief Editor. They can erase every jump character in existence with a seal. And one of them was largely responsible for Goku victories. Why am I using them? Because they are like the Doctor Who, an entity that changes bodies and hive mind higher and higher places in this industry. /jk

Can anyone give a brief description of Goku's power? Never watched dragonball so I don't really get it. When he goes super-saiyan or whatever, does he have the power to destroy entire galaxies or something? There's really not anyone who can rival that in anime if that's the case
